Signing In to the CatchOn TV App
Signing in to the CatchOn TV App takes two items, your CatchOn TV username and your password. Both are in the activation email IPTV Shift sends after your subscription is switched on, and your IPTV Shift account repeats them under Subscriptions. You won’t be asked for a server URL or an M3U link, and no activation code needs buying.
Which details go in the app
Activation emails can carry several sets of details. Each has one destination:
| What the email lists | Where it goes |
|---|---|
| CatchOn TV username and password | The app’s sign-in screen |
| Download link or code | Downloader (link or code) or a phone’s browser (link); it installs the app and never signs you in |
| Xtream Codes details, the three-part login of server URL, username and password | Players: TiviMate, IPTVX, IPTV Smarters Pro and the like |
| M3U playlist link | The playlist option of a player, or the IBO Player website |
A mix-up worth avoiding: typing the Downloader code on the sign-in screen. That code exists only to tell Downloader which file to fetch.
Getting every character right
Keep the email open on your phone or computer while you type on the television, and copy from the screen, not from memory.
- Look-alikes. Check 0 against O, 1 against I and lowercase l, 5 against S, 8 against B, and 2 against Z. If the email’s font blurs a character, enlarge it, or paste the text into a notes app that uses a different typeface.
- Capital letters. A password that mixes upper and lower case must be typed with the identical mix.
- Stowaway spaces. Copying from email can bring a space or a line break along at the start or the end. Delete it before pasting.
- The remote. On-screen keyboards make the neighboring key an easy mistake. Go slowly, then read each field back before confirming.
After confirming, allow the app a moment to check the login with the service before you try again.
If the app refuses your login
A refusal doesn’t prove the details are wrong; the device or the network can cause it too. Test after each of these steps:
- Clear both fields and retype them from the email, character by character.
- Make sure you entered the CatchOn TV username and password, rather than the Xtream Codes details or the download code.
- Switch the device’s clock to automatic, covering date, time and time zone. Encrypted connections rely on a correct clock, so a device that thinks it’s a different day can fail to sign in with valid details.
- Restart the device and the router. No change? Try a different network, such as a hotspot from your phone.
- Reinstall the app with your setup instructions, which puts the current version on the device; should that install fail, uninstall the existing copy first. The download guide walks through it.
- Stop there and contact support.
Contacting support without exposing your login
Support works 24/7 by email at info@iptvshift.com. A first message gets answered faster when it carries:
- your order number, which tells support which subscription you mean;
- the device model and the app’s version number;
- the error message word for word (a phone photo of the screen works too);
- what you’ve already tried from the list above.
Keep the password out of that message. Keep the login out of community posts and screenshots as well, because it opens your subscription to anyone holding it. Mind one deadline. If CatchOn TV won’t run on a supported device, tell support before the first 24 hours after activation are up: should they fail to fix it, that early report earns a full refund under the refund policy.
