CatchOn TV App FAQ: Codes, Fire TV, iPhone, Logins
Quick answers about getting the CatchOn TV App, signing in and choosing between the app and a player.
Does every CatchOn TV plan include the app?
Yes. Every plan length comes with the CatchOn TV App, and the link or code to install it arrives with the setup instructions in your activation email.
Is there a CatchOn TV activation code to buy for the app?
No. The app signs in with your CatchOn TV username and password. If your setup instructions show a code, it's a download code for Downloader, not a login.
Can I install the app on a Fire TV Stick 4K Select?
No. That stick runs Vega OS, which installs Amazon Appstore apps only. Fire OS models such as the Fire TV Stick 4K Max, Fire TV Stick 4K Plus and Fire TV Cube can take it.
Is there a version for iPhone or Apple TV?
No, the CatchOn TV App is an Android app. On iPhone, iPad and Apple TV, CatchOn TV lists IPTVX and GSE Smart IPTV, a paid app, both from the App Store.
Will it run on a Samsung or LG smart TV?
Not directly: Samsung TVs run Tizen and LG TVs run webOS, so APK files don't install. Use IBO Player or IPTV Smarters Pro, or plug a Fire OS or Android TV device into the TV.
Does my CatchOn TV login work in TiviMate?
TiviMate signs in with the Xtream Codes details (server URL, username and password) or the M3U link from your email. The CatchOn TV username and password are meant for the service's own app.
How many screens can watch at the same time?
As many as your plan covers, from 1 to 5, chosen when you order. Each extra device adds 45% of the plan price, and a screen using a player counts the same as one using the app.
Downloader is missing from Install unknown apps. What now?
A Fire OS bug hid it in August and September 2026. Amazon began rolling out a fix in mid-September 2026, so install the latest system update, restart the Fire TV and check the list again.
Does renewing mean a new login or a reinstall?
No. Your username and password stay the same after a renewal, which costs 15% less when you use the same email, and the extra months are added after the ones you have left.
Is the CatchOn TV App the same as the MoaTV APK?
No. MoaTV, also known as Channel Moa, was formerly called CatchOn TV and has its own app, the MoaTV APK. The CatchOn TV App belongs to the separate service IPTV Shift sells under the CatchOn TV name today.
